This 8-hour course is designed to give pet lovers, owners and professionals the information and skill required to stabalize an injured animal until qualified veterinary care can be accessed. We emphasize preventing illness and injury, the importance of early veterinary care and the appropriate restraining of an injured animal.

The PetSaver™ course includes First Aid & Care For Your Pets™, Dental Care for Your Pets™ and Carining For Your Senior"Pet-izen"™.

Pet First Aid in the immediate care given to a pet that has been injured or suddenly taken ill. This includes home care and when necessary, veterniary help. It is estimated that up to 60 percent of animal hospital visits are emergency in nature. Knowing the skills and techniques of Pet First Aid can mean the different between life and death, between temporary and permanent disabilitity, between expensive veterinarian bills and reasonable home care and between rapid recovery and long recuperation for the pet.

This 3.5 hour class includes the skills and information necessary to prepare you for the unfirtunate event of a medical emergency involving your pet. Some of the topics highlighted in the class include: CPR, rescue breathing, shock management, bleeding, injury assessment, heat injuries, cold injuries and pet care.

"Doggie" or "Kitty" breath is not normal and is usually a sign of poor oral hygiene that should be addressed promptly. Dental Care For Your Pets teaches pet owners the many aspects of caring for your pet's teeth. Participants will learn how to properly bruch their pet's teeth, choose safe toys and healthy food snacks and work with their veterinarian to assure good dental health. Each participant will receive a pet toothbrush and paste.

On average, pets (dogs & cats) seven years and older are considered senior "pet-izanes" and are at risk for age-related health problems. In this class you will learn the risk factors associated with older pets, proper exercise plans, diet and nutritional choices and the things they should and should not be doing for senior pet-izens in their golden years.
